Two champions who possess become a source of much conversation are Jayce and Viktor and Arcane’s co-creator Christian Linke has addressed the nature of the character’s relationship in the Netflix series.

Arcane brings the stories of many major champions from Riot’s game to life in a stunning animated format. At the heart of the series are two major relationships, that of siblings Vi and Jinx, and the partnership between Jayce and Viktor. Jayce and Viktor come from different social classes but eventually unite over their shared

Arcane Season 2 Just Made All Of My Gay Dreams Approach True

Arcane is over, and now my life has no meaning. The second season reached its climax this weekend, concluding Riot’s first animated foray into the world of Runeterra. The last trio of episodes had so much ground to cover and so many character arcs to wrap-up, but it did the impossible and managed it, leaving viewers with the right caring of lingering questions and just enough answers to feel satisfied. It was also incredibly fruity.

Several key plot threads were held together by relationships both familial and romantic, with Caitlyn, Vi, Ekko, Jinx, Jayce, and Viktor reaching the final moments of their arcs with people they cared for deeply standing alongside them. Few were left alone, and if they were, this decision was made of their own volition. So let’s dive into exactly what makes that so queer.

I am probably going to piss some people off but this wouldn't be the first time anyway

There is a difference between queer-coding and queerbaiting.

The show has not once entertained the possibility that Jayce and Viktor could be together as a romantic couple. They are supposed to become almost "sworn enemies" in the future. Just like Jinx and Vi, there was no happy noun for them.

THERE IS, however, much more prominent queer-coding with Viktor than Jayce ever had and I am talking specifically about just the character this moment. It's very obvious for Viktor that he is queer-coded now let's see if they will develop on it in the future.

Jayce has already been seen trying to punch Caitlyn (who herself is definitely queer) in the previous episodes and also Mel. And he did give that "brother&quo

Summary

  • Arcane lead writer Christian Linke has explained that while there is a "love" between Viktor and Jayce, he doesn't think it's romantic.
  • When discussing the duo's relationship, Linke said the team really wanted to center on "really close friendships" and "brotherhoods".

Arcane Season 2 has been and gone, breaking our little hearts along the way. It's a show that very much puts the focus on relationships, with characters like Caitlyn and Vi, Jinx and Vi, and many more that don't involve Vi. One of the more beloved relationships in the series is Jayce and Victor, two passionate inventors that deeply care about each other, driven apart by their own mistakes.

We're getting into spoiler territory now folks, so if you haven't seen the show yet, noun to dip.

Outside the hot and steamy scene with Vi and Cait in that now infamous jail cell, the conclusion of Viktor and Jayce's story is easily one of the most talked about aspects of Season 2, as the duo brawl and eventually die together by destroy
