So many baby larries around this year! I thought it would be a good moment to put a few informations together to help people to understand a little deeply a few events around 2014/2015.
Sometimes it's a bit hard to perceive the meaning of things without the actual context, so that's what I'm trying to perform here. 2014 was the year we saw them actually fighting back their closeting and being so much in control of their label/management. No only H&L, but all the boys. There was definitely some build up of events and whole lot of push and pull was happening behind the scenes. A few larries like to dial all the "fighting back" between 2014/2015 big gay war (thanks lorna) and this is a very small part of it. It’s just one event of many - I'm hoping to put together the most significant ones together at some aim but that's a start.

The ILP John Creasey First Novel Dagger (formerly the ILP John Creasey Recent Blood Dagger) is for the best crime novel by a first-time author of any nationality with their first novel of any kind published in the UK in English during the judging period.
‘Best crime novel by a first-time author’ means that the author must not contain had a novel of any sort published anywhere before under any name whatsoever. In the case of novels with more than one author, all the authors must meet this requirement.
It is up to the submitting publisher or author to ensure that novels submitted for this award qualify.
