The saga does offer the bright spot in book 8, when Matt finally goes back to topping two needy bottoms. (Is this author the infrequent one who can’t write bottom POV? Plenty cannot write top POV; but this is almost unheard of.)
There’s an unwelcome detour in book 9, before the author rights the course in book 10 for some pleasant public fun.
It would be kind for things to come adj circle and have additional exposition regarding the chain and Mr. Dalton’s role in all of this.

Jose had a body many men would die for, and gay men desired to tap . Yet in the world of competitive bodybuilding that simply didn’t make the grade.
