Bisexuality in islam
Stances of Faiths on LGBTQ+ Issues: Islam - Sunni and Shia
BACKGROUND
With over a billion followers, Islam is the second largest religion in the world, and noted for its diversity of culture and ethnicity. Founded by the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in CE, Islam is an Abrahamic religion that shares its roots with Judaism and Christianity and recognizes Abraham, Moses and Jesus as prophets. Its sacred texts are the Qur’an, and secondary sources are found in cultural practices such as Sunnah and less so in Hadith, which persist to be studied and interpreted by both scholars and the faithful. At the core of Islam is the Shahadah, a declaration of faith that states, "There is no god but God, and later adaptations added “and Muhammad is the messenger of God." The Shahadah is one of the Five Pillars of Islam that also comprise charitable giving, fasting, praying several times each day, and going on pilgrimage to Mecca, if economically feasible, at least once in a lifetime.

Same-Sex Sexual Activity
& Lesbian and Bisexual Women
Muslim Sexual Ethics:
Same-sex sexual activity is a taboo subject for many Muslims. Some depart so far as to disapprove that gay men, lesbians, and bisexuals exist in Muslim societies today or even that sexual activity between men or between women has existed in Islamic history. Rather, they claim that such issues are western or modern. Those who do recognize the topic generally agree that the Quran explicitly forbids all same-sex sexual activity and that Islamic law prescribes dire punishments for it. Thus, in dealing with same-sex sexual behavior among Muslims, there are two key issues: First, what is practiced? Answering this question involves determining what the historical role of lesbian women and female same-sex sexual behavior, for example, has been. Second, and more importantly for contemporary Muslims grappling with the issues raised by same-sex attractions, what is permissible? Just because some Muslims in the past have behaved in a certain way does not indicate it is religiously legitimate to do so. Thi
History of LGBT
The word "lesbian" is derived from the ancient Greek island of Lesbos, which was home to Princess Shappo as well as Athis, two homosexual women. Lesbos was located in the centre of the Egis Ocean. As a result, the women who attracted one another were labelled lesbian or lesbo. They are females who assist other females in terms of sexual orientation.
Gay sexes are those that model their sexual orientation after other men. They are categorised as homosexuals since they are both lesbian and gay.
Individuals who have a sexual mutual attraction to individuals of both gender identity, including both men and women, are referred to as bisexuals or pansexuals. The heterosexual and gay sexual orientations are divided into the third category. Since transgender does not involve sexual orientation, it distinguishes itself from the previous three categories.
